Ondo PDP governorship candidate has emerged, it is not deputy governor, Ajayi

A winner has emerged from the keenly contested Ondo governorship primary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Eyitayo Jegede SAN last night won the election recall that, he was also the 2016 governorship candidate of the party.
Jegede defeated the deputy governor Hon Agboola Ajayi, who scored 657 votes with a total of 888 votes.
the third person on the list, Dr Eddy Olafeso, the former Vice Chairman of the party in the south west scored 175 votes.
A former member of the House of Representatives, Dr Bode Ayorinde scored 95 votes while Banji Okunomo scored 90 votes.
A former commissioner, Sola Ebiseni polled 29 votes while Godday Erewa scored 14 votes.
The sorting of the ballot papers which started by 9:30pm ended by 11:17pm.
Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the Chairman of the election committee, announced the result of the election which had over Two thousand one hundred and eleven delegates decide the fate of the eight aspirants.
