Many people may know this Nigerian politician and who is also the former national chairman of the All Progressive Congress, he is no other person than Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole.

According to Wikipedia, Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole was born on the 4th of April 1952 at Iyamho, near Auchi in Edo State.
He contested in the April 2007 Governorship election of Edo State under the Action Congress Party. Oserheimen Osunbor of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) was declared the winner of the elections after the results were announced. 
How did Oshiomhole win? the AC contested the election on the basis of various irregularities, ando the Edo State election tribunal on the 20th of March 2008, nullified the election of Oserheimen Osunbor and declared Oshiomhole the winner. 
After a successful first term, he was elected to a second term in 2012, this time winning the elections in a massive landslide, and ended his tenure on the 12th of November 2016.

Achievements of Adams Oshiomhole

Massive construction of roads: Oshiomhole during his first tenure as governor, fixed a number of roads.
Rehabilitation and building of schools: Similarly, under his first four years in office, the State witnessed upsurge in the renovations of hundreds of public schools across the State.
Provision of potable water.
Health facilities and provision of employment: In the same token, in a period of eight years, Governor Oshiomhole
built an ultra modern state of the art Specialist Hospital, which he
said would matched any modern hospital globally.
