CBN Warn Nigerians of Fraudulent Loan Offers and Investment

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has taken to social media to warn members of the public against fraudulent messages and videos which are targeted at unsuspecting loan seekers and owners of small-scale businesses purportedly facilitated by the Bank.

This is according to a statement signed by Osita Nwanisobi, the Acting Director, Corporate Communications.

Nwanisobi noted that while the CBN has several development finance intervention programmes from which different categories of businesses had benefitted (and still benefitting), “it does not do so through direct interaction with prospective applicants.” see statement below:
