Kogi State Governor Reveals How Government Officials Siphoned COVID-19 Funds
Yahaya Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State made this revelation during an interview with Channels TV, where he also added that the #EndSARS protests have links to the politics of 2023.
After being asked how the COVID-19 materials were left in the warehouse, the governor explained that Nigerians were ill-advised, were confused and misdirected.
Bello stated that the nation had COVID at hand, a glorified malaria, billions of naira, billions of dollars, were siphoned by a few individuals.
When asked if the individuals were Nigerians, the governor simply revealed that are Nigerians in government and outside the government, in business empires and very few middlemen.
According to Yahaya Bello, "Kogi State is the only State that refused to accept there was COVID-19 that will kill people.
"If there is COVID-19, it emanated from China. China has since gone beyond the issue of COVID-19. I did say that COVID-19 is political. I did say COVID-19 has economic undertone, and several others and political undertone. It has come to play. But we are still not addressing it."
