Nigeria’s Minister for Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola, on Sunday, October 25, discovered a hidden camera at the Lekki Toll Gate, Admiralty Circle in Lagos state.
Fashola, led a Government Delegation to commiserate with the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, over the destruction of properties and loss of lives in the incessant violence that rocked the state last week.
Others in the Fashola led-Delegate include, Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola; Minister of Mines and Industries, Olamilekan Adegbite; Minister of Trade and Investments, Niyi Adebayo, and Minister of Health state.
Also, some South-West Governors of Lagos, Ekiti, Oyo, and Ondo states in persons of Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Kayode Fayemi, Seyi Makinde, and Rotimi Akeredolu, respectively, were in company of the inspection tour.
Fashola who noted that the camera must have been planted by some subversive elements prior to the shootings for ulterior motives, subsequently handed it over to the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for forensic analysis and further investigations.
The Minister while picking up the camera with an handkerchief and handed it over to Governor Sanwo-Olu, said that it will help with the ongoing investigations into the Lekki Toll Gate Shootings.
