Nigerian Copyright Commission Chairman, Tony Clinton Sacked By President Buhari.


In a letter dated 15th day of October, 2020 with reference number SGF/PS/NCC/668, the president has ordered the removal of the incumbent chairman of the Nigeria Copyright Commission with immediate effect.
In a statement made available to the media, the Solicitor General & Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice, Mr. Dayo Akpata, SAN said “I have been directed to notify you of your removal as the Chairman, Governing Board of the Nigerian Copyright Commission by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, as conveyed vide letter Ref: 59312/V/230 of 28th September, 2020. Whilst wishing you success in your future endeavors, please accept the assurances of the warm regards and best wishes of the Honourable Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice”
The chairman was also ordered to handover all the properties of the commission to the Director-General.
