Farmers Killed In Borno Did Not Get Military Clearance To Go To The Rice Fields — Garba Shehu
Spokeperson to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on media, Garba Shehu told the British Broadcasting Company {BBC}, that massacred farm workers in Borno did not get military clearance before working on the farm thereby exposing themselves to terrorist.
Various Social Media users have express outrage at his speech, describing it as “irresponsible”.
However, the spokeman has come on social media to shed more light on his speech. He said, he was merely explaining the mode of military operations in the war zone of the northeast.
He said there are areas that require security clearance which is intended to put people out of harm’s way.
