Read What Bola Tinubu Said About Yoruba And Fulani That Got People Talking

Date:

The national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu on Monday, 29 March 2021 celebrated his 12th colloquium and 69th birthday. Many Nigerians have reacted to Tinubu’s discussion for choosing Kano as the venue to celebrate his day.
While giving reason for this move, Tinubu said he picked Kano to prove that Yoruba and Fulani are one.
He went further to acknowledge the marriage of the daughter of Kano State, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, to the son of the late ex-Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, which took place in Kano.
According to Tinubu, “Why are we in Kano? It is to demonstrate to Nigerians at this critical time. There is a Fulani man, a herder man who gave his daughter to a farmer, a Yoruba man. And that Fulani, that Yoruba (sic), and some people are agitating wrongly.”
This comment has sparked different reactions on social media.

Tinubu who is a well respected political leader of Yoruba decent, has contributed greatly to the growth of the democratic era in Nigeria.
