Nigerians who are yet to get their National Identification Numbers can now register while also undergoing Continuous Voter Registration.
The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) have partnered to allow Nigerians to register to vote and for their National Identification Number (NIN) simultaneously at designated centres.
Both commissions came to an agreement during a visit by the NIMC Director-General, Engineer Dr Abisola Kukar, and her delegation to the INEC headquarters in Abuja.
The INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, while speaking, hailed the collaboration as a confirmation of the “institutional memory” between the two agencies.
